Hello, friends and colleagues of Vicky!

Memorial Mandala

As we come to the close of 2021, we reflect on where we’ve been and hold hope for where we go from here. Our dear friend Vicky departed almost two years ago. On December 12, a small group gathered for a holiday sing coordinated by Davida Huchel to celebrate the season, remember Vicky fondly, and to view the completed memorial mosaic mandala created to honor her memory.

Many thanks to all who contributed to this art piece with ideas, words, and small items…this truly was a community effort of those who loved Vicky and it captures the essence of our dear friend! This mandala will travel to Rancho La Puerta in the new year where it will reside to commemorate Vicky’s life and her 30 years of teaching at The Ranch.

The Vicky Newman Memorial Fund has raised $3000 thus far. Deep gratitude to all who have contributed.

Vicky was an important member of the founding Project Apollo cohort.  To honor her passion for nutrition, her lifelong dedication to education, and her work to bring nutrition more fully into healthcare, we have established a fund to support a memorial lecture series to educate young physicians and other health professionals in Nutrition.

Donations are tax-deductible.  Write a check to “Precision Healthcare Ecosystem” with “Vicky Newman Memorial Fund” in the memo and mail to:
